Site Upgrades

We're very pleased to announce today a long list (and long awaited) of upgrades, bug fixes and improvements to the site. There has been a lot of work put into this behind the scenes and I want to thank the whole AWC team for their hard work. We still have a lot of additional areas of the site we want to improve and will be 'head-down-bum-up' working to improve those areas asap. After the outage later today the below new improvements will be available for you to enjoy;

Member Profiles

There are now almost 4,000,000 members of our community, and every single one of them has automatically generated a Profile page storing information they wish to share with you all. We are now happy to be launching the new Member Profile giving you access to Member Information and Content in a simple and structured manor.

Whats been changed?
- Inclusion of Member Gallery summary
- Inclusion of Member Friends summary

What do I need to do?
- Absolutely nothing, ALL information you have provided in the past will be in your new Member Profile, Friends and Gallery Summaries will also be automatically generated.

Member Gallery Management

As members started uploading more and more Photos, Videos and Audio Files it became apparent that more freedom and control needed to be put in place to allow members to manage their own content. The ALL NEW Gallery Manager (Accessed through the Site Navigation titled "Galleries") has been provided to help you organize your uploaded files. Every Member has been given a "My Gallery" bucket in which they may store their media. Alternatively members may wish to create new Galleries and start to organize files in their own custom way. With simple tools provided to rotate, delete, and name individual content items you will seamlessly be able to manage your Photos, Videos and Audio Files. A simple "click'n'drag" allows files to quickly be moved from gallery to gallery. Members may also choose photos to be used as Profile Images and Site Avatars with a single click.

Whats been changed?
- Ability to Create and Manage Galleries and Gallery Items.
- Controls to rotate, delete and Name individual items.
- "click'n'drag" functionality to move files from one gallery to another.
- single click selection of Profile Photos and Site Avatars.

What do I need to do?
- All your current media (photos, videos, audio) will automatically be organized by the system, you may wish to work on a new gallery structure or input names for individual items.
- Your current Profile Photo and Site Avatar will remain the same, you may wish to play around and select new images to be displayed.

File Uploader

We wanted to make sure that the process of uploading files was as simple and stable as possible, therefore we have developed an ALL NEW file uploader. The File uploader is accessed through the Gallery Manager and allows Members to easily upload multiple files to a gallery simultaneously. Real time data and reports are provided to ensure your peace of mind on successful uploads. A series of different file types are able to be uploaded prior to the system processing them into the ANYwebcam.com preferred file type.

Whats been changed?
- Ability to upload multiple files and file types simultaneously.
- Real time reporting of successful uploads and status of uploads.

What do I need to do?
- All files you have previously uploaded are still there, no need to upload them again.
- Go check it out, start uploading all of your photos, videos and audio Files.

Viewing Galleries

With so many Galleries and even more Gallery items its important that Members can simply browse all of the content available. There are now two main avenues to viewing content. The first is to view Latest Photos and Videos (Accessed through the Site Navigation titled "Galleries") which will display thumbnails of every individual Gallery item on the site. From the Latest Photos and Videos Page members may wish to display only Photos, or Videos, or Audio Files or a combination of the three, along with selecting to only display content belonging to couples, or Males, or Females or All Members. The second avenue is to view Member Galleries (Accessed through the Site Navigation titled "Galleries") which will display thumbnails of Member Galleries. These contain multiple items and may be sorted by Creation date (Latest to Oldest) or by Star Rating (5 to 1, as voted by members), and Members may wish to only display content belonging to couples, or Males, or Females or All Members. Both the Latest Photos and Videos and the Member Galleries pages take advantage of simple page by page browsing and a time saving "go to" page selector, allowing Users to jump to a chosen page.

- Members access to ALL uploaded files on ANYwebcam.com
- Display individual items or Member Galleries.
- Sort and Display functionality to help find what you are looking for.

What do I need to do?
- Absolutely nothing, just go check it out and have fun browsing through the millions of Photos, Videos and Audio Files.

Message Board Attachments

Part of the fun in Message Boards is having the ability to post attachments with your discussion. Whilst this ability has long been a feature in ANYwebcam we have done our best to improve the process involved in displaying media within a message board posting. Whether a Member is creating a new Thread or posting a comment on an existing thread they now have the ability to select "add media" (located just above the "post" button). On selecting "add media" a mini version of the fully functional Member Gallery Manager will appear. Members may then browse their existing galleries for a file they wish to include or use the File Uploader to select a new item to upload from their computer. When a file is selected for upload a line of text/code will be placed in the Message boards text editor. When the post is completed and submitted to the message board that line of text/code will display the chosen media file in the message post. The attached file will no longer appear as a small thumbnail but will be presented as a full size image or video to members viewing the message board post.

Whats been changed?
- Improved process for uploading / attaching items to a message board post.
- Access to Member Gallery Manager from Message board text editor.

What do I need to do?
- Nothing, all of your previous message board attachments will remain active. You will notice that these images will have automatically created their own Galleries in your Gallery Manager. You may choose to rename or organize these Galleries if you wish.

Access to Quality Media

Over the past 9 years members of ANYwebcam have managed to upload over 11,000,000 Photos, Videos and Audio files... And over the past 9 months we have been able to re-process every single item to ensure what you get is the best quality media possible. Photos are now displayed at the best resolution your screen allows and contain an ANYwebcam.com watermark to deter content poaching. Videos are now being converted to a flash media file allowing all videos to be presented within the site and controlled using a consistent flash player. Audio files are also being converted to flash to ensure they may be controlled using the same flash player as used for videos.

Whats been changed?
- All Photos reprocessed to be viewed at high resolution.
- All Videos reprocessed and converted to a flash file to be viewed in page.
- All Audio Files reprocessed and converted to a flash file to be controlled in page.

What do I need to do?
- Nothing, just enjoy all the awesome content.

Error Messages

Some Members of ANYwebcam using Internet Explorer as their browser may have experienced script errors located at the bottom left of their screen. Issues triggering these errors have now been rectified.

Whats been changed?
- Site issues causing IE errors have been fixed.

What do I need to do?
- Nothing at all.
