Screen Resolutions
Feb 22, 2008
With the changes we have made so far in preparation for our move to WeAll.com, there has been some mention of screen resolutions and what is the best resolution for the site.
After collecting statistics from the last 3.5 million visitors to the site we have determined that the site should be built for optimum experience on a screen resolution of 1024 x 768. We feel we can safely say that these changes are catering to the majority of our members.
As can be seen in the graph below, 42.67% of members currently have their screen resolution set to 1024x768. A further 47.63% of members have their resolution set even higher. That's a total of 90.3%. Only 9.70% of members are currently using a screen resolution of 800 x 600 or lower.
This in no way means we will be ignoring the needs of our members with the lower screen resolution. Members can still run a lower screen resolution than suggested but they may not have optimum results when viewing WeAll.com. In some cases vertical and/or horizontal scroll bars will be displayed. While some pages may not be displayed as neatly as when viewing at 1024 x 768 or above, all of the functionality will be available.
