Introducing Friends
Mar 11, 2008
Here at ANYwebcam.com, we are fast approaching our 8 year anniversary. With almost 4,000,000 members, WeAll have met some wonderful people on the site. We interact with each other through webcams, live chat, message boards and other tools on a daily basis.
We are pleased to announce the introduction of FRIENDS. FRIENDS is not a new concept in the online social networking arena. Indeed, it has become a key tool for acknowledging and keeping in touch with those people closest to you. As our community grows, its easy to predict that doing so will become more of a priority for our members. With ANYwebcam.com FRIENDS, that will be made possible.
On this initial launch you will be able to start requesting friendships with other members, as well as manage your friends list which will be displayed on your profile page. As this concept develops, we will introduce more interaction through your list, including updates on friends.
To get started on your FRIENDS list simply visit a member profile and select "Add as friend" (in the right hand, Quick Links, menu). If the member accepts your request to be friends you will appear on each other's FRIENDS list. You can quickly see your current FRIENDS list by clicking on the word Friends in the upper right corner of the site (beside Account Settings). If you see a number displayed beside the word Friends, this indicates new Friend requests. Clicking on the number will take you to the Friends Request page.
Enjoy this great new addition to the community!

Support Tip: Having trouble opening profiles?
The profiles not loading from the cam list is caused by popup blockers.
Below are two links that show how to turn off popup blockers that are available in a number of different custom toolbars as well as some available in the more popular firewalls.
